Scope
Due to the ongoing size reduction in modern logic devices the quantisation
of the elementray charge becomes more and more important. Not far ahead in
the future one bit of information will be represented by the presence or
absence of a single electron. The research of single charge effects has
therefore a great potential for future applications.
This seminar will deal with this topic of single charge effects in
semiconductor nanostructures for information technology.
Front end researchers will present their actual results.
